Ramon Llull was an original theological thinker, a fact which Llull seemingly himself thought to partly be an obstacle to the reception of his theology in academic circles. Following his second stay in Paris, we see how he attempted to integrate ‹established› scholastic thought and terminology into his own specific concept. In the Llibre de Déu, the Trinitarian theology of Thomas Aquinas and Bonaventure provide examples that showcase Llull’s attempt to ground his own Trinitarian model and theological thought within the theological context of his time.
